Meet our Customer-Driven Owner

I spent 20 years of my life in Retail & Sales Management, working my way up the corporate ladder. I loved the field. It’s a fast-paced environment, there’s always something to do, something new to learn, and I loved meeting new people and establishing relationships, many that became a second family to me, along the way.

It did have its difficulties. Once I reached a certain position, I was spending 60+ hours a week working, not including the long drive time traveling from store to store. I literally had no home life. At the same time, my husband was doing the same in his field, but had been on 2nd shift for 4 years.

We had had enough. Life was meant to be so much more than all work and no play. We missed our life, and we missed each other, so we decided it was time for a change. We both found “days jobs” and finally felt we had a life to live.

Oddly enough, as happy as I was with life’s new changes, I still felt a void. A stillness in so much desire to do something. I get it honest because it’s in the genes. My husband recommended I find a hobby. I couldn’t remember the last time I had time for a hobby, but I thought back and remembered some of the fondest memories I had were crafting with my grandmothers. So, I got a Cricut machine, and the rest was history. Not only did I enjoy getting back into crafting, I realized this could also be a business venture. It was a double whammy for me.

This rekindled love for crafting and the venture of entrepreneurship I have always dreamt of, helped tremendously in my mental “blues” moments. Along with living in Belews Creek, NC, where my shop is located, Belewsy was born!

I want to thank my husband for kicking me in the ass and his support in all the trials and errors along the way and most importantly, I want to thank my customers because without you, this dream wouldn’t be possible and the best way I know to say thank you is to always deliver the best product with the best customer service. On my final note, always remember the importance of taking time for you and your mental health.

With all my love & appreciation,
Kim
